====== MCIN Username ====== ===== What is LDAP? ===== MCIN credentials (separate from McGill credentials) are stored in our LDAP Directory. LDAP technology allows us to begin the process of creating a central place where people can set and change passwords and other user information. In addition to saving time and making things easier for everyone, LDAP also allows us to shift our focus to tasks that improve, rather than maintain, our many IT services as well as the rest of our IT infrastructure. ===== What is my MCIN username? ===== Your MCIN username is based on your first initial + last name; e.g. John Smith → jsmith. It is required in order to log in to the IT services provided at the lab such as: * Linux workstations * Servers * Redmine ===== How do I change the password? ===== To **set**, **reset** or **change** your MCIN password, go to [[https://ace-ldap-1.cbrain.mcgill.ca/fusiondirectory/recovery.php|Fusion Directory Password Recovery]]. Enter your email address and click the **Change** button.
